Wachusett Brewing Company to Open Brewpub in Former John Harvard's Space in Cambridge's Harvard Square

A well-known brewery in Central Massachusetts is opening a brewpub in Cambridge, and it will be moving into the space where a longtime restaurant and beer bar had been until closing in May.

According to an article in Boston Magazine, Wachusett Brewing Company is expanding to the former John Harvard's Brewery and Ale House within The Garage in Harvard Square, with the Dunster Street spot being a 15-barrel brewery and taproom that will feature flatbread pizza while focusing at least in part on sour beers. If all goes as planned, the new brewpub from Wachusett--which may also feature live entertainment--could be opening sometime in the fall.

Wachusett Brewing Company is headquartered a short distance from Route 2 in Westminster; their beers can also be found at a seasonal beer garden at City Hall Plaza in downtown Boston.

The address for the upcoming brewpub from Wachusett Brewing Company is 33 Dunster Street, Cambridge, MA, 02138. The website for the company can be found at https://www.wachusettbrewingcompany.com/
