It looks like a South Shore restaurant and bar that had been up for auction earlier this summer has shut down, and a new dining and drinking spot appears to be taking over the space.
According to a source, Jamie's Grill 63 in Braintree looks like it is no longer in operation, with a call placed indicating that its number is currently not in service, while it page within the jamiespub.com website has been removed. Based on what posters within the Braintree is Everything Facebook group page say, it appears that the Braintree location of Jamie's may have closed last weekend, though it had not yet been confirmed what its last date was. The thread mentions that Crossroads Pub is planning to move into the space, with an earlier Patriot Ledger article mentioning that it plans to offer "good American pub fare, with a hint of Ireland." [Ed note: It does not appear that there is any connection between this place and Crossroads Irish Pub in Boston, which closed a couple of years ago.]
The Enterprise mentioned in June that a scheduled June 26 auction at the site of Jamie's was postponed until this month, though it is not known if that auction ever took place; the Patriot Ledger article did says that the property had been in foreclosure.
The address for Jamie's Grill 63 (and new Crossroads Pub) is 63 Columbian Street, Braintree, MA, 02184.
[August 27 update: A Facebook post confirms that Jamie's Grill 63 will be replaced by Crossroads Pub, with the post saying that Crossroads is coming to the Jamie's space "soon."]
[November 18 update: A new Facebook post from the place states that Crossroads Pub is now open in Braintree.]
