A new dining spot may be on its way to downtown Boston, and it looks like it could be featuring sushi and other items.
According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, Loaves and Fishes Cafe is seeking a common victualler license to operate in a storefront on Tremont Street, with the address indicating that it would be located just south of where Tremont Street, Court Street, and Cambridge Street meet by Government Center and City Hall Plaza. The hearing notice mentions that the place would offer both sushi and baked goods, and the manager would be Sheng Su while the parent company is Ya Lai Xi Corporation. A check on the Open Corporates site indicates that the Allston address of the parent company is the same address of a location of Tous Les Jours; a now-closed outlet of that Asian-French bakery chain had actually been located on the block in which Loaves and Fishes Cafe is planning to open, though it is not yet known if there is any connection between the two.
The address for the proposed Loaves and Fishes Cafe is 18 Tremont Street, Boston, MA, 02108.
