Tapestry in Boston's Fenway Is Closing

A two-section restaurant and bar in Boston's Fenway neighborhood that is known in part for its pizza is shutting down this week, as it makes way for new development.

According to an article from Eater Boston, Tapestry on Kilmarnock Street is closing after business hours on Friday, August 23, with its building (and others around it) being replaced by what looks to be a new mixed-use development that will include apartments along with restaurant/retail space. The dining and drinking spot, which took over the old Church spot in May of 2016, is split into a casual space called Expo Kitchen and a higher-end space called Club Room (which has been closed for the summer), with the former serving burgers, wings, and Neapolitan-style pizza--and the place has also served Detroit-style pizza in the past as well, being one of the few places in the Greater Boston area to do so. (Volo in Swampscott and Avenue in Somerville are a couple of others.)

The address for the soon-to-close Tapestry is 69 Kilmarnock Sreet, Boston, MA, 02215.
