Dumpling Daughter Is Opening in Brookline's Coolidge Corner

A pair of Chinese restaurants known in part for their dumplings is expanding to a third location in one of the busiest parts of Brookline.

According to a Twitter post from @terenwong, Dumpling Daughter is coming to Coolidge Corner based on building permits that have been issued, with a job post on the Indeed site seeming to confirm this, saying that a General Manager is needed for a Coolidge Corner location of the dining spot. An exact address for the upcoming Dumpling Daughter, which currently has locations in Weston and Cambridge's Kendall Square, is not known as of yet, so stay tuned for updates.

Nadia Liu Spellman, who runs Dumpling Daughter, is the daughter of Sally Ling, who is known for her namesake restaurant that opened on the Boston waterfront in the mid-1980s.

The website for Dumpling Daughter can be found at https://www.dumplingdaughter.com/

[September 18 update: According to a source, Dumpling Daughter plans to move into the former 16 Handles frozen yogurt space at 1309 Beacon Street.]

[May 12, 2020 update: Eater Boston mentions that the new Dumpling Daughter in Brookline opens tomorrow (Wednesday, May 13) for takeout, joining the Weston location that is also currently open for takeout and the Cambridge location which is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.]
