A bit more than a year ago, it was reported that a French restaurant in Boston was closing, as the hotel in which it resided was planning to go through some changes. Now we have learned that a new restaurant is hoping to move into its space.
According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, Lucie Drink & Dine is looking to open in the former Brasserie Jo space within The Colonnade Hotel on Huntington Avenue, with the notice saying that the corporate name will also be changing, from BRJO Management Corp. to Lu C. Management Corp. This proposed change is being looked at as The Colonnade Hotel is having renovations done to its lobby, based on a notice within the hotel's website, and it says that the upgrades will continue for the "next several weeks." It is not known what kind of concept the new dining spot would have, nor is it known what might be on its menu, so stay tuned for updates.
Brasserie Jo, which closed last October after being in business for 20 years, had been run by James Beard award winner Jean Joho.
The address for Lucie Drink & Dine (and The Colonnade Hotel) is 120 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA, 02116. The website for the hotel can be found at https://www.colonnadehotel.com/
