A Boston location of a chain of chicken spots appears to have shut down for good, and this isn't the first time the shop has closed down.
According to a Twitter post from @convivitude, Popeyes in Kenmore Square is shuttered, with a picture showing a "Closed" sign out front. A subsequent tweet from @ralvarez617 mentions that the Brookline Avenue storefront looks "completely cleaned out inside," though a check on the website for the chain shows that the Kenmore Square outlet remains listed. (We have reached out to Popeyes and are waiting to hear back from them about the exact status of this location.)
The Kenmore Square location of Popeyes, which was formerly on Beacon Street, closed early in 2010 only to reopen later that year; other outlets within the Boston city limits can be found on Huntington Avenue by Northeastern as well as in Roslindale and Roxbury, while other shops in the Greater Boston area are located in Brockton, Chelmsford, Everett, Lynn, and Randolph--and Universal Hub mentions that a new outlet will be opening in West Roxbury as well.
The address for the now-closed Popeyes in Kenmore Square was 21 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA, 02215. The website for the chain is at https://www.popeyes.com/
