A popular gastropub in Boston's South End could be expanding to a second location, and this one will be coming to an upcoming complex just west of the city.
According to a press release, The Gallows is hoping to open at the Arsenal Yards in Watertown, with the place actually being a hybrid spot that includes doughnuts from Blackbird Doughnuts, which is under the same ownership. The release mentions that the restaurant and bar's new location will offer new food and drink concepts and that the space will include an outdoor patio that overlooks Arsenal Park on the Charles River. Expect to see such options as Scotch eggs, burgers, poutine, and a variety of cocktails at the new location of The Gallows at Arsenal Yards.
The Gallows is one of a number of restaurants and bars coming to Arsenal Yards, a mixed-use development located at the site of the old Arsenal Mall in East Watertown. Some food and drink spots announced for the complex include Tori Jiro, Pepe's Pizza, Condesa Restaurante Mexicano, Tender Greens, Shake Shack, Pokeworks, and City Works Eatery and Pour House.
The group behind The Gallows and Blackbird Doughnuts (The Gallows Group) also operates Banyan Bar & Refuge and Sally's Sandwiches.
