A suburban cafe that was run by an award-winning caterer has shut down.
According to a source, CLC Cafe in Belmont is closed, with a sign out front saying that "Due to medical reasons, [the owner] had the make the difficult decision to sell" while also thanking customers and giving a phone number to reach Rob Pelletier, who was behind the eatery. Pelletier had been a caterer for more than 25 years before opening the cafe and continued to manage CLC Catered Events after the eatery debuted; the Facebook page for the catering company mentions that Pelletier "is a multiple Award Winner of the Best of Boston & The Improper Bostonian."
CLC Cafe first opened September of 2017, taking over the space where Kitchen on Common had been.
The address for the now-closed CLC Cafe was 442 Common St, Belmont, MA, 02478.
