The Chicken & Rice Guys in Medford Has Closed for Good; Flooding from Burst Water Pipe to Blame

A brick-and-mortar location of a local business known for its gyros, grilled chicken dishes, and more has shut down permanently following extensive flood damage to the space late last month.

According to a message sent to us from the place, The Chicken & Rice Guys in Medford has closed for good, with a Facebook post stating that "The flooding that damaged the building on Dec 22nd was so severe that it doesn't make sense for us to return to the location, and instead use our resources to expand the business in other ways. We are currently looking for possible new spaces, and will keep you all updated on any new openings." Locations of the restaurant in Boston's Financial District and Downtown Crossing remain in operation, as do its food trucks which can be found in and around Boston during the week. The Salem Street eatery first opened in the fall of 2015.

The address for the now-closed Chicken & Rice Guys in Medford was 64 Salem Street, Medford, MA, 02155. The website for the business can be found at https://cnrguys.com/
