T's Pub in Boston May Be Replaced by Gopchang Story

Yet another longtime Boston dining and drinking spot appears to be closing, and it may be replaced by a Korean BBQ restaurant that features dishes made with the innards of animals.

According to a source, T's Pub on Commonwealth Avenue is looking to transfer its liquor license to Gopchang Story which would operate within the same space, with this being confirmed by a website for the latter that gives the address of T's, saying that a new location is "under construction" there. Gopchang, which currently has locations in Manhattan and the Flushing section of Queens, has its roots in South Korea and focuses on dishes using large and small intestines of cattle and/or pigs along with other entrails, according to the site.

T's Pub, which has been in business since 1971, has been a popular spot with college students over the years (especially from nearby Boston University) and people going to the Paradise music club which is a couple of storefronts down.

The address for T's Pub (and the proposed Gopchang Story) is 973 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA, 02215.
