A popular downtown Boston eatery that claims to be the "home of Boston's best burger" is shutting down, though it will be reborn inside a nearby food hall.
Eater Boston is reporting (via an Instagram post) that Wheelhouse on Broad Street plans to close its doors on January 31, with the dining spot opening back up within High Street Place, and the owners say (as mentioned here earlier) that they will also be opening a fried chicken place there called Haley Jane's. If all goes as planned, Wheelhouse and Haley Jane's will open in March.
Wheelhouse first opened in 2014, taking over the space where Italian Cafe had been; the restaurant offers both breakfast and lunch, and it features a variety of burgers including turkey, lamb, and black bean.
The address for the current location of Wheelhouse is 63 Broad Street while the address for the upcoming High Street Place food hall will be 100 High Street. (The website for Wheelhouse can be found at http://www.wheelhouseboston.com/)
[February 5 update: The Facebook page for the place confirms that Wheelhouse has closed its Broad Street restaurant while also saying that its new location at High Street Place could be opening in a few weeks.]
