Mayor Marty Walsh Announces Creation of "Support Boston Restaurants" Online Directory

The city of Boston now has a resource that will help local restaurants--and the diners who are looking for information on them.

In his press conference Friday afternoon, Mayor Marty Walsh mentioned that an online directory called "Support Boston Restaurants" has been set up, with the service giving information on such things as which dining spots are open, how people might be able to purchase gift cards from them, and more. UPDATE: As of Saturday, the directory is now up, with such info as hours, websites, menus, how to order, and delivery and pickup options for restaurants in the city--and the list is broken up by neighborhood (and Cambridge restaurants are starting to be added now), with more than 200 restaurants shown as of 5:00 PM. The website for the directory--which also has a section where restaurants can register to be on the list--can be found below:

The directory has been created on the heels of a statewide restaurant shutdown that was in response to the Coronavirus outbreak, where dining and drinking spots can only offer takeout and/or delivery service until April 6.
