News Elsewhere: Toro in New York City Has Apparently Closed for Good

It looks like the New York City outlet of a popular tapas spot in Boston has shut its doors permanently.

According to a source (@bffoodie), Toro in the Chelsea section of Manhattan has closed for good, with a Facebook post from a worker there seeming to confirm this, while another post from another worker there also indicates that the 10th Avenue restaurant has shuttered permanently. The New York location of Toro first opened in 2013, joining the original location in Boston's South End; Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette, who are behind Toro, also run Coppa in the South End and Little Donkey in Cambridge.

A note on its website indicates that the South End location of Toro is closed temporarily.

The address for Toro in Manhattan was 85 10th Avenue, New York, NY, 10011. The website for the Boston location of Toro can be found at https://www.toro-restaurant.com/
