Many More Boston-Area Restaurants and Bars Are Opening for Takeout/Delivery
The May 18 end date of the coronavirus shutdown is quickly approaching, and what that might mean to restaurants and bars in the Boston area and elsewhere in Massachusetts is anyone's guess right now, but the trend of dining and drinking spots reopening for takeout and/or delivery continues to ramp up, perhaps because businesses want to be at least partially ready for any possible reopening plan.
According to several sources, including posters within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants and via Universal Hub, JP Seafood Cafe in Jamaica Plain, The Smoke Shop BBQ in Cambridge's Kendall Square, MIDA in Boston's South End, Blackbird Doughnuts in Newton Centre, Blackmoor Bar + Kitchen in Charlestown, As Good As It Gets Cafe in Norwood, Tasty Burger in the Fenway, Buttermilk & Bourbon in the Back Bay, Tasty Mo:Mo in Somerville, New England Soup Factory in Newton, Gail Ann Coffee Shop in Arlington, Landmark Public House in Dorchester, Flour Bakery + Cafe in Cambridgeport, Billy's Roast Beef in Wakefield, Gunther Tooties in Quincy, Flatbread Company in Brighton, and the kitchen of Exodus Bagels in Roslindale have either reopened or are planning to do so by the end of this week or over the weekend. In all cases, it is best to visit their social media pages and/or websites to find out their exact reopening dates and hours.
As always, it looks like other restaurants and bars may be getting ready to reopen as well, so stay tuned for more updates.
