A highly-rated Cambridge restaurant that resides in a catering space is calling it a day.
According to a source, The Table at Season to Taste in North Cambridge is closing its doors for good, with an Instagram post from chef Carl Dooley of the Mass. Ave. spot saying "Well, we had an awesome run! After 4+ years, 2 softball championships and countless memories, our little restaurant is permanently closing....I look forward to cooking for you again someday." Nothing is mentioned about the exact status of owner Robert Harris's Season to Taste catering operation, though the business is currently offering takeout and delivery via "Season to Go," according to a post from Eater Boston.
The Table at Season to Taste first opened in early 2016, with the dining spot offering prix fixe menus with French influences. The restaurant has gotten much praise since debuting, with Jolyon Helterman saying in an Boston Magazine article that a meal there feels "less like a dinner out than a dinner party at someone's home—someone who gets the way we eat today, even if their homey kitchen isn't cranking out a whirlwind of small plates on demand."
Carl Dooley had been on season 13 of "Top Chef" and he also worked at Craigie on Main in Cambridge previously.
The address for The Table at Season to Taste is 2447 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02140.
