It looks like the future of an eclectic Cambridge restaurant is now in doubt.
According to a couple of posters within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Abigail's in Kendall Square appears to be on the market, as a "restaurant space available" sign is displayed in one of its windows. A check on its website indicates that parts of it are no longer working--including its menu page--while phone calls are going directly to voicemail. We sent a message to the Third Street restaurant and are currently waiting to hear back; as soon as we find out more information on its exact status, we will post an update here.
Abigail's first opened in the summer of 2011, with the dining spot being known in part for its raw bar, BBQ, sandwiches, craft beer, and cocktails.
The address for Abigail's in Kendall Square is 291 Third Street, Cambridge, MA, 02142.
[August 18 update: Based on a listing within the "Restaurants for Sale" section of The Boston Restaurant Group website, Abigail's is indeed for sale, with an asking price of $250,000.]
