A Mexican restaurant in the western suburbs that has been featured as an under-the-radar spot to go to has shut down permanently.
According to a post from the Framingham Source, El Mariachi has closed for good, saying that the Waverly Street dining spot "will not re-open post the coronavirus pandemic." No other information on the closing has been given, nor is it known what might take over the space, so stay tuned for updates.
El Mariachi, which took over the former Chicken Bone space in 2016, was mentioned on the Boston's Hidden Restaurants site as a little-known place to go to for Mexican food, with the review being found here:
