A small group of restaurants known in part for their breakfast dishes and old-fashioned comfort food items has gotten a bit smaller, as their sole Boston-area location has shut down.
According to a source, Hearth 'n Kettle is no longer in operation, with a post within the Weymouth Foodies Facebook group page showing a photo of a sign out front that says "We have sold the building and closed the restaurant effective today July 30th, 2020." A check on the Hearth 'n Kettle website seems to confirm its closure, as the locations page has removed detailed information on the Weymouth outlet while its location on the map is no longer a live link. Its two remaining restaurants in Hyannis and South Yarmouth remain open, based on the locations page.
Hearth 'n Kettle first started out in 1973, and once had a number of other locations in Eastern Massachusetts, including in Attleboro, Franklin, Plymouth, and Orleans; the Weymouth location had been in business for 23 years. (The Catania Hospitality Group, which is behind Hearth 'n Kettle, also runs the Dan'l Webster Inn in Sandwich and Grand Cru in Hyannis.)
The address for the now-closed Hearth 'n Kettle in Weymouth was 151 Main Street, Weymouth, MA, 02188. The website for the remaining two locations can be found at https://www.hearthnkettle.com/
