Back in late March, a longtime eatery in Brighton closed indefinitely as the coronavirus outbreak was starting to take hold, and its future looked to be in question. Now we have learned that the place has opened back up, though with a different setup for now.
According to a source, Cafenation on Washington Street is open once again, with the dining spot having a walkup window set up where customers can place/pick up their orders. The menu for the restaurant includes bagels and breakfast sandwiches along with coffee and tea, and it is open Monday through Saturday while hinting that it could also be opening on Sundays at some point in time. (We have also been told by another source [Geoff Wong] that the restaurant is under new ownership.)
Cafenation first opened its doors approximately 17 years ago.
The address for Cafenation is 380 Washington Street, Brighton, MA, 02135. Its website is at https://www.cafenation.com/
