Zhu Vegan Kitchen Opens in Brookline

The people behind a vegan restaurant in the northwest suburbs have opened a second vegan spot just west of Boston.

Eater Boston is reporting that Zhu Vegan Kitchen is now open in Brookline, moving into a space on Washington Street in Brookline Village, and this is a new restaurant from the owners of Zhu Pan-Asian Vegan Cuisine in East Arlington. The menu for the new eatery shows such items as miso mushroom soup, seitan strips, stir-fried udon and soba, kung pao eggplant, Singapore-style noodles, spring rolls, veggie dumplings, curry samosas, sesame tofu, and more.

Zhu Pan-Asian Vegan Cuisine first opened on Mass. Ave. in East Arlington in 2015, taking over the space that had been home to Kathmandu Spice.

The address for Zhu Vegan Kitchen in Brookline Village is 220 Washington Street, Brookline, MA, 02445. The website for the restaurant can be found at http://zhuvegankitchen.com/
