A cozy Irish pub on the South Shore is getting ready to shut down permanently.
According to a source (via a post within the Cohasset143 Facebook group), Mr. Dooley's Olde Irish Village Pub in Cohasset is closing its doors, with a Facebook post from the place saying the following:
For the past 10 years we have called Cohasset our home. Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control our paths must part. As we pour our last pints and serve our last meals we want to thank you, not only for your patronage, but more importantly your hospitality as you welcomed our family into your community. To our beloved staff, you are what made Dooleys Cohasset great! The backbone of our establishment. You are family and always will be.
The post goes on to say that the last day for the pub will be St. Patrick's Day.
Mr. Dooley's is part of the Somers Pubs group, which includes Mr. Dooley's in downtown Boston along with several other pubs in the heart of the city--Durty Nelly's, the Green Dragon, Hennessy's, and Paddy O's.
The address for Mr. Dooley's Olde Irish Village Pub is 9 Depot Court #1756, Cohasset, MA, 02025. Its website can be found at https://www.mrdooleyscohasset.com/
