A dining and drinking spot in Somerville is changing into a new space with a new name, though it will be under the same ownership.
According to an article from boston.com, Brass Union in Union Square is morphing into Vera's, a new restaurant and bar that will offer comfort food, cocktails, and more. The post indicates that the Independent Restaurant Group--which ran Brass Union and is also behind Foundry on Elm, The Independent, The Rockwell Theatre, and Saloon--will also be operating Vera's, whose menu will include such items as house-made fried mozzarella sticks, buttermilk-fried whole belly clams, seasonal pastas, a chicken parm sandwich, and seasonal slushies.
Vera's plans to open on April 29, and will initially be open for dinner on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with both indoor and outdoor dining available along with takeout and delivery.
The address for Vera's is 70 Union Square, Somerville, MA, 02143. Its Instagram page can be found at https://www.instagram.com/verasunionsq/
