Magia Restaurant & Bar Is Opening in the Former Calitri's Italian Cuisine Space in Danvers

A new restaurant is on its way to the North Shore, and it will be taking over the space where a decades-old Italian spot had been.

According to an article from Wicked Local, Magia Restaurant & Bar is planning to open in the former Calitri's Italian Cuisine space in Danvers, with the upcoming restaurant recently being approved for a liquor license to operate within the Route 1 space. Very little is known about Magia at this point in time (including when it might open), so stay tuned for updates as they come in.

Calitri's first opened in 1970, offering Italian and American fare including chicken parmigiana, lasagna, turkey tips, gnocchi, pizza, panini, and more.

The address for Magia (and the now-closed Calitri's) is 126 Newbury Street (Route 1), Danvers, MA, 01923.

[December 6 update: Wicked Local states that Magia is now open, offering such options as frutti di mare, pizza, fettuccine alfredo, lobster ravioli, filet mignon, and veal chop parmigiana.]
