The upcoming location of the chain will join a number of others in and around Boston, though this will be its first shop in Somerville.

Sweetgreen first started out in Washington, DC, and is now headquartered in Culver City, California, with the chain being known mainly for its salads and grain bowls. Its website can be found at

[July 21 update: According to a press release, Sweetgreen is now open at 345 Assembly Row, and it includes a patio along with indoor dining.]
