Bit Bar in Salem Is Moving to the Former Salem Beer Works Space

A restaurant, bar, and arcade spot on the North Shore is heading to a new home, taking over the space where a location of a local group of brewpubs had been.

According to a source, Bit Bar is going to be moving from St. Peter Street in Salem--where it has resided in an historic jail complex since 2016--to Derby Street in the downtown area of the city, with an earlier Patch article indicating that it is taking over the Salem Beer Works space. A Facebook post from the business says that July 18 is expected to be the last day in its current space.

The current address for Bit Bar is 50 St. Peter Street, while its new address will be 278 Derby Street. Its website can be found at https://bit.bar/

[September 23 update: According to a source, Bit Bar is now open in its new home, with a Facebook post from the place mentioning that its hours over the next few days are today from 4:00 PM to midnight, Friday from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM, and Saturday from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM (the place will be closed this Sunday).]
