New England Wichcraft Co. Is Opening in the Former Domenic's Space in Boston's North End

A North End restaurant that opened a couple of years ago is saying farewell, and a new dining spot is taking over the space.

According to a source, Domenic's on Salem Street is closing down, with an Instagram post from the place confirming this while also indicating that a new eatery is moving in. A Bizapedia page shows that a new spot tentatively called 'Wichcraft is planning to open there, while a licensing board hearing page within the city's website mentions this as well, though the place is spelled "Witchcraft" in the hearing notice and that the full name is listed as Witchcraft on Salem (it appears that 'Wichcraft is probably the correct spelling but we will try to confirm this).

The owner of Domenic's, which first opened in July of 2019, also runs Carmelina's, a restaurant on nearby Hanover Street that remains in operation.

The address for Domenic's (and the proposed 'Wichcraft) is 54 Salem Street, Boston, MA, 02113.

[September 23 update: According to a post within the jobs section of bostonchefs.com, the restaurant moving into the Domenic's space will apparently be called New England Wichcraft Co. and it will feature "top gourmet Sandwiches, potions, and craft beer."]

[December 9 update: A source tells us that New England Wichcraft Co. is now open in the North End, with its Instagram page confirming that it debuted on December 7.]
