Chef Dave's Is Opening at The Street Chestnut Hill

A private chef is opening his very own restaurant a few miles west of Boston.

According to a press release, David Welch is planning to open Chef Dave's at The Street Chestnut Hill, with the dining spot being a bistro-style restaurant that offers such options as macaroni and cheese, veal chops, BBQ ribs, whole roasted crispy duck, lemon herb roasted chicken, prime beef filets, osso bucco, and more. Chef Dave's hopes to open sometime this winter and it will serve lunch, dinner, and a weekend brunch along with takeout.

David Welch got his start more than 20 years ago at Formaggio Kitchen and has since become a well-known chef and caterer for such places as Harvard University, MIT, and the boutique menswear store Mr. Sid.
