A couple of years ago, it was reported that a chain of Japanese barbecue spots was opening a fourth Boston-area location, with this one being in a new development in the northern suburbs.
According to an article from Wicked Local and the Burlington Union, Gyu-Kaku is now open at The Village at Burlington Mall, a new outdoor center that sits at the site of the old Sears automotive center. The new dining spot joins others in Cambridge's Harvard Square, Brookline, and South Bay Town Center in Dorchester, and the website for the business indicates that it is currently going through a soft opening with a limited menu that includes some prix fixe menu items for groups of two or more.
In addition to Gyu-Kaku, The Village at Burlington Mall is also home to locations of Caffe Nero and Sweetgreen.
