Twyrl in Arlington Center Is Closing

An Italian restaurant in the northwest suburbs that is known for its pasta dishes is shutting down permanently.

According to Patrick Maguire of Maguire Promotions & Hospitality Consulting, Twyrl in Arlington Center is closing for good, with the website for the Broadway dining spot saying the following:

We have struggled with this prospect for many months and have decided not to renew our lease. A multitude of factors helped shape this decision, none more challenging than the breakdown of the supply chain.  This has caused the cost of goods and services to soar, making the prospect of committing to a long-term lease far too great a risk in the face of future economic uncertainty and instability.

The note indicates that the restaurant is closing after business hours on December 16.

Twyrl first opened in the summer of 2017, offering customizable pasta dishes in which customers choose their types of pasta, sauce, and toppings, while also serving salads, meatballs, spinach and artichoke dip, cheesecake, and more.

The address for Twyrl is 315 Broadway, Arlington, MA, 02474. Its website can be found at https://twyrlpasta.com/

[December 29 update: A Twitter thread from @burkebrian8 indicates that both Facebook and Yelp show Twyrl now being "temporarily closed," with the Yelp page saying that it plans to reopen on April 1, 2022.]
