A brand new Korean restaurant is on its way to a Boston neighborhood that has little in the way of Korean dining spots.
Universal Hub reports (via an e-mail newsletter from West Roxbury Main Streets) that Sharon Korean Kitchen is opening on Centre Street in West Roxbury, moving into the space that had been home to Local 338 Bagels & Coffee until it closed last fall. A check on the menu for the upcoming eatery shows such options as katsu, japchae, bibimbap, kimchi fried rice, fried chicken, tofu stew, veggie dumplings, and more. If all goes as planned, Sharon Korean Kitchen could be opening sometime in February.
Currently, Misono on VFW Parkway is one of the only other restaurants in West Roxbury to offer Korean fare (it also serves Japanese dishes as well).
The address for the upcoming Sharon Korean Kitchen is 1727 Centre Street, West Roxbury, MA, 02132. Its website can be found at http://sharonkoreankitchen.com/
[April 7 update: A check on Google indicates that Sharon Korean Kitchen plans to open on April 15.]
