A local group of Chinese restaurants has gotten a big smaller, as it has closed its Brookline location.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Sichuan Gourmet on Beacon Street is no longer in business, with a note on the website for the dining spot indicating that it shut down yesterday, saying "Sorry for any inconvenience. If you like Sichuan cuisine you may visit Sichuan Gourmet's other locations in Billerica, Burlington, Framingham and Sharon. Stay safe and Thanks for your support!" The Brookline location of Sichuan Gourmet first opened in 2010, taking over the space that had previously been home to Chef Chang's House.
