Anh Hong Is Being Born within Pho Hoa in Dorchester

Late last year, it was learned that a beloved Vietnamese restaurant in Dorchester had shut down and that its future was uncertain. Now we have learned that it is returning, via a collaboration with an existing dining spot nearby.

According to an email from Tam Le of Pho Hoa on Dorchester Avenue, Anh Hong--which had been located on Adams Street--is going to be teaming up with Pho Hoa, with Anh Hong owner Victoria Nguyen acquiring Pho Hoa founder Thanh Le's equity, which will allow him to retire while also continuing on as an advisor. [Ed note: Thanh Le is also the father of Tam Le.] The collaboration will result in the menu at Pho Hoa having Anh Hong's special menu items added to it, including its seven courses of beef.

Anh Hong announced its closure in December, though Nguyen did say at the time that the plans were for her restaurant to return.

The address for Pho Hoa (and soon, Anh Hong) is 1370 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, MA, 02122.

Thanks to @WriteHandMan for initially bringing this to our attention.

[March 8 update: Eater Boston states that Anh Hong is now open as part of Pho Hoa.]
