A new dining and drinking spot is on its way to an historic mill in Maynard.
According to an article in The Beacon-Villager and Wicked Local, the Bull Spit Taproom is planning to open in Maynard, moving into the space at Mill & Main (formerly Clock Tower Place) that had been home to the Battle Road Brew House. The post states that the upcoming place is affiliated with Bull Spit Brewing Company at Kalon Farm in Lancaster, with owner Keith Copley and operations manager James Hunt offering beer that will initially be brought in from the Lancaster brewery until they get a brewing license for the space. Wine from Copley's wineries in Ashburnham and Westminster will also be available, as will some cocktails, and the food menu is expected to focus on pub-style fare including sandwiches and finger food. If all goes as planned, the Bull Spit Taproom could be opening sometime this month.
Battle Road Brew House, which debuted in early 2017, shut down in the fall of 2019; local radio personality Greg Hill and his Whole House Group were behind the place.
The address for the Bull Spit Taproom is 20 Sudbury Street, Maynard, MA, 01754. The website for the business can be found at https://bullspitbrewing.com/
[February 25 update: According to a source, the Bull Spit Taproom has soft-opened in Maynard, with a Facebook post from the place indicating that it will have a grand opening party tomorrow (Saturday, February 26).]
