Strega Plans to Open in Burlington

It looks like another location of Strega may be expanding to a new space in the northern suburbs of Boston.

According to a source, Danu Partners is planning to open a new outlet of Strega in Burlington, with a post indicating that it may be moving into the space on the Middlesex Turnpike that was home to a location of Del Frisco's Grille. If the plans are approved and the new location opens, it will join other locations of Strega that are run by Danu (which is an Irish investment firm), including Strega Waterfront at Fan Pier, Strip by Strega in Park Plaza, Strega Prime in Woburn, and Strega Caffe by Northeastern University. (The Varano Group, which was behind all the Strega outlets until selling the above locations to Danu in 2020, continues to run the original Strega in Boston's North End along with Nico and Rina's, both of which are in the North End as well.)

The Burlington location of Del Frisco's Grille shut down in the fall of 2019, with a Chestnut Hill location closing at the same time.

The address for the proposed location of Strega in Burlington is 92 Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington, MA, 01803.
