A brand new cocktail bar is on its way to the North End, opening within an existing restaurant.
According to Patrick Maguire of Maguire Promotions & Hospitality Consulting, Farmacia is planning to open in a part of the Ciao Roma space at 5 North Square, with a bostonchefs.com article saying that it will be an "apothecary-inspired cocktail bar" with nine seats. The post goes on to say that creator Phillip Rolfe (Parla, Wink & Nod) will offer drink flights on the menu while patrons can also go"off-book" with drinks, while food offerings will include options such as house-made pickles, dips, roasted nuts, and gelato. If all goes as planned, Farmacia will open on April 22.
Ciao Roma is part of the All Day Hospitality Group, which also operates Bodega Canal, Tony & Elaine's and Ward 8.
