A brand new cafe is opening in the North End of Boston, and it is replacing a restaurant that had been in the space for approximately seven years.
According to a message sent by Adam Castiglioni of the Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog, Shasa Cafe is opening on Salem Street, taking over the former Rigoletto Ristorante space across from Cooper Street. A LinkedIn page indicates that Marie-France Muyumba is apparently behind the new spot, and that it appears to be a French-Congolese fusion cafe that offers breakfast and brunch options.
Rigoletto Ristorante first opened in the summer of 2015, moving into the old Sapori di Napoli/Cafe Napoli space.
The address for Shasa Cafe is 115 Salem Street, Boston, MA, 02113.
[August 1 update: A tweet from Adam Castiglioni indicates that Shasa Cafe is now open.]
