Another beer garden is coming to the local area, and this one will occupy part of a parking lot in Cambridge.
According to an article from Cambridge Day, Kevin Treanor (The Merchant, Phoenix Landing, Hugh O'Neill's, Trinity) and Jim O'Rourke (First House Pub, Heights Pub) are teaming up to open a beer garden at the Fresh Pond Mall just south of the Alewife T station, taking over the back part of the lot near Staples and Apple Cinemas. The post says that initially, the back wall of the beer garden will be the fence between the lot and the train tracks, while Jersey barriers, three large containers, and tents will help form the rest of the space, which will be able to seat 188 people and hold a total of 500 and will include food trucks, games, and weekend music.
The new beer garden plans to be open from 11:00 AM to midnight daily.
