Akame Nigiri and Sake Opens in Lexington

A new dining spot with Japanese influences has opened in the northwest suburbs of Boston.

According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Akame Nigiri and Sake is now open in Lexington, with an OpenTable page for the place indicating that it resides in a building just off Mass. Ave. in Lexington Center where the municipal parking lot is. A post within the jobs section of bostonchefs.com says that it Akame is "an un-traditional Japanese influenced restaurant" that has seating for 18, while the OpenTable page says that chef/owner Michael Monaco offers Japanese nigiri and small plates along with beer and sake.

The address for Akame Nigiri and Sake is 1707 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA, 02420.

[September 29 update: A message sent to us indicates that Akame Nigiri and Sake now has a wine and malt license and also include a six-seat Omakase counter.]
