Hummus Republic in Boston's Financial District Has Closed

The sole Boston-area location of a California-based group of fast-casual Mediterranean restaurants has shut down after a bit more than a year in business.

According to a source, Hummus Republic in the city's Financial District is no longer in operation, with a check on the website for the business seeming to confirm this, as the Franklin Street outlet is no longer listed within its locations page. The eatery first opened in June of 2021, offering build-your-own wraps, pita pockets, and bowls with options such as couscous, garbanzo beans, hummus, chicken shawarma, falafel, tabbouleh, feta, and more.

No other locations of Hummus Republic (which is headquartered in Woodland Hills) can be found in New England, with its closest outlet being in Morristown, NJ.

The address for the now-closed Hummus Republic in the Financial District was 274 Franklin Street, Boston, MA, 02110. The website for the business can be found at https://www.thehummusrepublic.com/
