A Medford restaurant whose roots go back a long ways has shut down.
According to a tweet from @TheBostonFoodie, Carroll's in Medford Square is no longer in business, with a sign up at the Main Street spot indicating that it closed on Saturday, August 27. Carroll's had been in business for 10 years in its current incarnation, though it had previously been open for six decades as Carroll's Diner in a different Main Street location across the Mystic River until shutting down in 1986.
The most recent space in which Carroll's had resided had once been home to Il Faro.
The address for the now-closed Carroll's was 101 Main Street, Medford, MA, 02155.
