Firehouse Subs in Woburn Has Closed

A Florida-based chain of sandwich shops has closed its last remaining location in the Greater Boston area--and in Massachusetts.

According to a source (Aron Levy), Firehouse Subs in Woburn is no longer in business, with a check on the locations page of the chain showing that the Commerce Way outlet has been removed from the listings. The Woburn location of Firehouse Subs first opened nine years ago, and at one point, other outlets could be found in Boston's Back Bay, Danvers, and Franklin; as reported here in 2011, the chain had plans for a major expansion of 69 locations in the Greater Boston area alone.

Firehouse Subs was first established in the mid-1990s by two brothers who come from a family of firefighters.

The address for the now-closed Firehouse Subs in Woburn was 103 Commerce Way (Suite C1), Woburn, MA, 01801. The website for the chain is at https://www.firehousesubs.com/
