A restaurant in Malden that featured Vietnamese and Chinese food has shut down.
According to a source, Pho 99 on Pleasant Street closed on March 28, with a photo showing a note in the window that says "Thank you so much for your patronage. We're proud to have served the Malden community for 22 great years." Pho 99 offered such options as pho, vermicelli dishes, rice plates, spring rolls, stir-fry dishes, and a variety of Chinese-American and Chinese fare.
The address for the now-closed Pho 99 was 99 Pleasant Street, Malden, MA, 02148.
[April 11 update: A poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page mentions that Shi Miao Dao Yunnan Rice Noodle may be moving into the former Pho 99 space, with a City of Malden memorandum seeming to confirm this. (Another location of Shi Miao Dao can be found in Quincy.)]
