A seaside restaurant on the North Shore has been evacuated after a retaining wall gave way.
According to a source, Mission on the Bay in Swampscott is shuttered after the collapse of a section of the seawall that holds up part of the building, with Carl Stevens of WBZ NewsRadio 1030 posting pictures showing part of the structure appearing to dangle above where a segment of the wall had been. This is a developing story, so check back for updates.
Mission on the Bay, which first opened in 2016, is located at 141 Humphrey Street above King's Beach near the Lynn line.
[May 31 update: According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Mission in the Bay in Swampscott plans to reopen on June 9.]
