A food court restaurant that offered mostly Chinese fare has shut down.
According to a couple of sources, Kantin at the Hong Kong Supermarket/Super 88 in Allston is no longer in business, with pictures sent from both sources showing that the space has been cleared out. It is not known why the eatery closed, nor is it known whether it might reopen in a new location.
Kantin offered such dishes as roast duck, crispy pork belly, beef stomach, fish meatball congee, spicy salted squid, pork chops in black pepper sauce, chow foon, lo mein, and more, including some Japanese items.
The address for Kantin was 1095 Commonwealth Avenue (Suite 203), Allston, MA, 02215.
