A couple of years ago, it was reported that a landmark Boston restaurant that has been closed since a 2018 fire might be coming back, and now we have learned that it could be reborn this winter.
According to an article in the Boston Business Journal, the space that has been home to Jacob Wirth is currently undergoing extensive renovations, with City Realty Group and other business partners planning to open the place back up much like it was before, including German food (and presumably German beers), a mahogany bar, and piano singalongs, while also making some tweaks such as a more accessible bar area, additional women's bathrooms, and updated lighting. If all goes well, Jacob Wirth could be opening back up in February of 2024.
The address for Jacob Wirth is 31-37 Stuart Street, Boston, MA, 02116.
