A Japanese restaurant in Brookline is getting ready to shut down.
According to both a source and a note on its website, Shiki on Babcock Street is closing its doors, with the note saying the following:
To Our Valued Customers and Friends, It is with a mix of emotions that we announce our retirement. SHIKI will be ceasing operations on December 10, 2023 (Sunday), after 16 fulfilling years of serving our community. We extend our heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support through both prosperous and challenging times. The joyous memories we have shared with each of you will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Your patronage and friendship will be dearly missed. Warm regards,Yoshio, Misako, & the SHIKI Team
Shiki is known in part for its sushi and sake options, while also offering both small, shareable plates and full meals.
