A chain of chicken spots is going to be opening a new location in the local area, with this one being just west of Boston.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Popeyes is planning to open in Newton Corner, moving into a space on Centre Street that had been home to a locaiton of Subway. Once it opens, the new outlet from the chain will join a handful of others in the Greater Boston area, including by Northeastern University in Boston, Roslindale, Roxbury, West Roxbury, Brockton, Chelmsford, Everett, Lawrence, Lynn, Randolph, Quincy, and Woburn.
Popeyes was established in Louisiana in 1972 and is now headquartered in Florida.
