Six New Dining Spots Are Coming to Gateway Brookline Development

A number of new options for food appear to be on their way to a new development in Brookline.

According to a source, six new dining spots have been announced for Gateway Brookline, a complex by Beacon Street and St Mary's Street that is being redeveloped and renovated. Paul Warren of the Brookline Select Board has posted about the plans within the Brookline Townwide Discussion Facebook group page, saying that the following businesses are looking to open at the site:

-- Sushi Jiro, which will be a full-service sit-down sushi spot.

-- Ssaanjh Indian, which will be a sit-down spot that is similar to Shan-A-Punjab on Harvard Street, which is under the same ownership.

-- Kyo Matcha Bakery, which will offer Japanese baked goods, desserts, and sweet drinks.

-- Kyuramen, which will focus on ramen offered for lunch service.

-- Baby Cakes, which will be a Hong Kong-style cafe.

-- Liyin Rice Roll, which will offer dim sum and breakfast and lunch options.

Warren mentions that a covered outdoor seating area will be on the premises for the dining spots and that it will include heat lamps. (It is not known when this project will be complete, so keep checking back for updates.)

[April 12 update: According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page (via the Instagram page for the place), Kyo Matcha has a soft opening today with its grand opening being tomorrow.]
