A quirky gastropub in Somerville is going through a management change, as the people behind it are turning their focus toward an iconic eatery in Cambridge that they are now running.
According to a Facebook post from David Toraji Oshima, Cornerstone on Beacon Street is changing hands, as he says the following:
It is with a heavy heart that after this week, The Cornerstone will be under new management. I would like to thank all of our customers made friends and staff made family for everything!!! I have learned a lot during my time here and will now focus my energy on my restaurant in Harvard Square. Please come and support, drink, and eat at my "new" restaurant, Charlie's Kitchen. I would like to bring it back to its former glory. Come visit me at Cornerstone this week before it's too late.
Oshima and Derek Luangrath opened Cornerstone late last year in the former R.F. O'Sullivan & Son space; they recently became the new operators of Charlie's Kitchen, a casual spot in Harvard Square that dates back to the 1950s and which is known in part for its burgers.
The address for The Cornerstone is 282 Beacon Street, Somerville, MA, 02143.
